Food and Life is member based and provides low cost food and lifestyle products to more than 1500 families on low incomes. Supported by Food Bank Australia, we provide food and amenities to low income earners.

Those eligible can find a wide variety items to meet their needs. Being able to take some of the pressure off living in a financially demanding city can help make the difference when times get tough.


Who Can Access Food & Life?
Anyone who receives a government benefit or has a Seniors Card, and lives in the greater Sydney area.


How to Become a Member
No appointment is required. The best way to get started is to visit our Food and Life shop during the hours listed below and enquire about becoming a member. Make sure you have your benefit card with you, as it will be needed for the sign-up process.

There is no cost, it only takes a few minutes, and you can shop on the day you sign up. You pick up your membership card the next time you come in.

Our subsidised cafe, Coffee Haven seeks to provide the community with a warm and welcoming place to wind down and relax, while fostering a sense of belonging.

We believe everyone deserves to experience the simple joys of life. Our smiling volunteers and staff welcome all who come to connect over an amazing coffee (or preferred beverage), great food and good conversation.

Indulge in all the cafe has to offer with food and drink items at an affordable price.

Held at the Coffee Haven, Seniors Hub provides an opportunity for individuals to meet new people, socialise and gain support. Sharing memories and laughter together, building a community of friendship and support where you feel as though you belong is our priority.

Join us to play a game, have a chat and relax with a hot drink, complimentary for anyone over the age of 60.

In the Know Sessions
Our In the Know information sessions are made available on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 10am. These sessions cover a wide range of topics and practical skills geared towards our senior community.


Seniors Expo
Seniors Expo is an event held annually with an emphasis on seniors, where people of all ages can attend to learn and gain useful advice on issues affecting our senior population. The event also gives the opportunity for individuals to talk to services directly.


Breaking Bread
Sharing a meal made with love, Breaking Bread provides ready made meals for those in need. Made by a caring community of volunteers, meals are provided to those who require assistance, ensuring everyone has access to good quality food.

Christmas Hampers
Sharing the spirit of Christmas, our hampers are packed with delightful treats for recipients to savour and enjoy. Each hamper also includes a special gift or gifts.
